Breastfeeding or Bottle Feeding
Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for a newborn baby. It contains the right composition and antibodies. Breastfeeding is wonderful, but – especially in the beginning – it’s not always easy. For example, you might feel uncertain about how much milk your baby is getting, and your nipples can be very sensitive.
To guide you properly, all three of us have completed a breastfeeding course. For extra advice, you can always turn to our own lactation consultant. Breastfeeding is, of course, an important part of our informational evenings. You will also have the opportunity to discuss this in detail with our lactation consultant.
Sometimes breastfeeding just doesn’t work, or there may be a medical reason why you can’t breastfeed. Don’t feel guilty about it. Bottle feeding is also of excellent quality, and breastfeeding is only enjoyable and healthy if it works well for both parties (for you and your baby)!
Both Welkom Maternity Care and Aronszorg Maternity Care organize breastfeeding evenings. These are very helpful for couples expecting their first baby. More information can be found on our bulletin board.
